Under the Dome had monster numbers last week in which it became CBS’s highest rated summer premiere since 2005. Under the Dome was also the highest rated program among adults 18-49 and with with Total Viewers for the week of June 24-30. Will we see a season two? It’s all about the numbers. Let’s see how Under the Dome fared last night!
Originally, the overnight numbers revealed 11.5 million viewers, a 2.8 rating with Adults 18-49. beating the score of MISTRESSES and SIBERA combined.” Under the Dome was adjusted up a tenth this afternoon among adults 18-49 versus Monday’s preliminary ratings. Under the Dome now at a 2.9 rating w/ 11.81 million viewers.

Thanks for the ping! I’m thinking sales of the novel are going to get pretty brisk, too. Since I’m on page 750 or so and only four days have gone by (in the world of the novel– though I’ve read about that speed too, now that I think of it), I wonder if they’re going to be able to stretch it out more than a season. An exec producer said, “we’re pretty much going to keep to the structure of one episode a day.” The book is averaging about 250 pages a day, so obviously it’s going to be REALLY restructured, or the EP wasn’t thinking ahead… anyway, I’m still in. You know more about the business side than I do, obviously, but I think unless they really fuck it up, the numbers should stay high.
