EminemCASTING CALL: I am looking for 30 Caucasian males 5ft 8 and up that look like the rapper Eminem with the bleached hair. This works April 28th downtown Wilmington for an hour or less and you walk away with $50 cash. This is not for tv or film it is a promotional event for a local company. Think something like a Flash Mob to the song “Will the Real Slim Shady Please Stand-Up” except you don’t have to actually dance unless you want to.  If you have already submitted back in Feb. please resubmit and I will send you a link with the confirmation info:  To submit please email with the subject line: “Eminem Male” please include a full body and head shot and include the following info:

Congrats to our Domie John Elvis who booked a major supporting role in Texas Rising, also starring Bill Paxton (The Traveller), Ray Liotta, Brendan Fraser, Christopher McDonald (The Squeeze) and our One Tree Hill Alum Chad Michael Murray!  They will be shooting the flick in Durango, Mexico.  Production begins in mid-May.   Don’t worry he is scheduling this flick in between his time on Under the Dome!  He’s not leaving us!

WILMINGTON, NC- TEEN BOY CASTING CALL FOR FX PILOT (PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY AND PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT IF YOUR CHILD MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS) I am looking for submissions for 14-16 yr old boys any ethnicity who has a background in sports, martial arts or gymnastics and it would also be helpful if they have worked as an extra before. I am going to need a handful of boys for a scene that will need to be able to take directions for choreographed movements that will look like a fight, BUT NO ACTUAL PHYSICAL CONTACT (MAYBE SOME LIGHT SHOVING) SHOULD TAKE PLACE WITH IN THE SCENE. So looking for boys who have good body control and can take directions so that is why I am focusing on boys with sports, martial arts or gymnastics background. As of right now the scene is scheduled for WED APRIL 30 (please note that this can always change) and we ask that if you submit your child that they are available all day. The pay for this specialty extra is $120/12hr. I am really looking for boys in the Wilmington area or close surrounding areas because we will be setting up “auditions” for some day next week most likely after school and then whoever is selected will than need to be available for a rehearsal day as well. Now, yes I know it feels quite slow with just one production running right nwo, but trust me when I tell you, it’s about to get nuts!  And we sure do have a lot of local crew members working full time and they get paid more than peanuts, so how about a hand for all those jobs!!  Let’s review all that is coming! The end of April will bring us the start of production for Max Steel, The Sin Seer and FX’s How and Why.  Right on their heels is Sleepy Hollow, then a few weeks later we expect The Longest Ride to start up.  Of course this summer we can expect The Heart as well as the highly anticipated Untitled Armored Car project aka Loomis Fargo. That is a lot of freakin’ jobs folks!

Sarah-Michelle-Gellar-Ringer-Comic-Con37 years ago, the world became a little safer when Buffy The Vampire Slayer herself was brought into the world. April 14 is the day to be exact. This NY girl has been in the film industry since she was first discovered at the ripe old age of 4! Sarah Michelle Gellar is linked to NC film with I Know What You Did Last Summer which filmed in and around NC in 1997. The film went to Burgaw, Durham and Southport.

The Emmy award winner was not yet Mrs. Freddie Prinze Jr., but she did work on the film with him. Sarah is of course known to be a part of the TV family as well as big screen with her role as Buffy, but she has also done voiceover work for The Simpsons, American Dad and Robot Chicken. She can be seen AND heard as “Sydney Roberts” on the television show, The Crazy Ones. Happy Birthday from Wilmywood, Sarah

(April 14, 2000) The film was shot in many NC locations including Asheville, Black Mountain and right here in Wilmywood where many of our EUE/Screen Gems stages and crew were utilized. This story of a newspaper columnist who is court ordered to rehab was brought to life by director, Betty Thomas as well as the film’s star– Oscar AND Golden Globe AND MTV movie award AND SAG award AND Teen Choice award winner, Sandra Bullock! (She must have a huge mantel at home!
