FILM INCENTIVES: Your mission for Monday, June 23, 2014

Okay folks, today is a new day!  For all those who support the film industry, we must continue putting on the pressure! Thank you for being so amazing and diligent with your phone calls and emails. Negotiations will continue on the budget all this week. At this point there are two discussions going on.

1) Try to pass the grant program.

2) Extend the film incentives for another year.

We do not want the grant program.  With the November election approaching, we have made out message loud and clear, No FILM=No VOTES.

The best thing we can do (according to Legislators on our side, Mayor Saffo, and the NC Production Alliance) is to continue putting the pressure on these folks. We are asking them to KEEP our film incentives the way they are and end the sunset! Again, this is your constitutional right as a citizen of NC, USA to let your voice be heard.

So, we will continue the calls and emails this morning. Remember, be polite.  I am so proud to know just how many folks in and out of the film industry have made it their mission to not give up and be an already lost cause. So, lets continue the calls and the emails today and show them we will not stand down!

Here’s your instructions for the day:

1) Call the Speaker of the House, Thom Tillis “I am a voter, I support the film industry.  Please leave the incentives the way they are and end the sunset!”

2) Sign BOTH petitions (if you have not as of yet)
