Blue Mountain State: The Movie will be opening up offices this week in Wilmington, NC.  The comedy starring Alan Ritchson (Hunger Games) and Denise Richards (Wild Things) is now accepting crew resumes. Please send resumes from WILMINGTON CREW ONLY to bmsthemovieresumes@gmail.com with “Wilmington Crew” in the subject line.

Shooting will take place in the Wilmington area. Production should run about 4 weeks. Production begins November 18th.

Three incoming freshmen attending Midwestern college football powerhouse Blue Mountain State must quickly adapt to college life and juggle football, girls, classes and nonstop hazing.

The original TV was a comedy series that premiered on Spike back in 2010. The series producers included Chris Romano and Eric Falconer through Lionsgate Television. They have looked at multiple locations including Montreal, then almost decided on South Carolina before choosing Wilmington, NC before the film incentives expire at the end of the year.

  2. Do we really want this little low budget indie film to be the last movie shot in Wilmington ? The entire budget of 1.5 mil. is less than what a real movie spends in a day! Also have you seen the script? It’s almost pornographic. This is the kind of crap we really don’t want to be associated with, as film professionals and taxpayers in this state.

    • I hate to say it but this is a RTW state, so beggars are pretty much all that is left here and they cannot be choosers. Oh and SWIRL FILMS was doing porn for over a decade b4 they put all their profits into their newest faith based projects. Not saying porn is okay but it’s everywhere in this town, and not just in films, at least on FILMS no one is being pimped out…unless they’re working for free of course, like so many will do!
