Sleepy Hollow’s move to Atlanta CONFIRMED

Well, we’ve been talking about it for at least two months now.  We knew in October that Sleepy Hollow was not going to stay for a third season.  Vancouver was mentioned, but for the last couple months, Atlanta was the front runner. Even though no official word has been said in regards to a third season, Sleepy Hollow folks headed to Atlanta and scouted the area on Friday.

Now, the Star News is reporting that what we already knew to be true is confirmed.

Fox Television Group chairman and CEO Dana Walden said if it’s renewed for a third season, “Sleepy Hollow” will move production from Wilmington following the demise of the North Carolina film tax credit program.

Thanks NCGA.  Thanks Governor McCrory.

    • You have no idea what you are talking about. Film jobs pay way better and infuse the entire region with money because they have to spend a large percentage of the budget in-state. We offered the tax incentive in order to bring those jobs and that spending here from out of state. We didn’t lose any money in the deal because they merely got a 25% refund on their taxes. If they’re not here, they pay ZERO taxes. Please explain how that helps the citizens of NC.

  1. You all saw this coming when you elected Mccrory. He was and is against any film incentive, yet he was elected with an overwhelming margin over his closest opponent. Apparently the people have spoken. All the old pros in the industry there will be fine. They may have to relocate in irder to work, but that’s the nature of this business. How many film workers do you think are native to California the hub of all film work in this country for many years? The kids with just a few years experience on some little TV show will have a much harder time gaining employment in another market. I for one am very thankful I saw all this coming and got out and established years ago when I saw all this coming. The folks that hung around and hoped it would get better now have to play catch up. Good luck. Only the strong survive in this crazy business.
