SLEEPY HOLLOW RATINGS: Did the Necromancer Conjure up Viewers?

SH_necromancer

“What Sleepy Hollow lacked in zingers it made up for in breath-baiting tension.” ~Rose Maura Lorre, Vulture.com

Man, if Sleepy Hollow doesn’t win an Emmy for VSX, it will be a sad day!  The black minions blew me away!  Let’s see who else was glued to the TV last night.  The overnight numbers are in.  Last week, The Midnight Ride took  7 million viewers on a journey garnering a 2.6 (adjusted up a 1/10 from 2.5) rating.  The Necromancer (Episode 8) managed to maintain its 7 million viewers A18-49 with a 2.5 average.  As always, we still need to see if SH will adjust up or down later in the day. All in all, I would give Ichabod a fist bump for the ratings.  I will be updating this blog as more details come in.

SLEEPY HOLLOW: RATINGS REPORT – Sandman brings sweet dreams to FOX

sandman

The Sandman gave us nightmares last night, but sweet dreams are coming true for FOX with the 3rd Episode Sleepy Hollow.  The overnight numbers are in and it looks as though Sleepy Hollow was #1 in it’s time slot, keeping 7.93 viewers on the edge of their seats (adjustments will come later today).

What do the experts say?

Gaude Paez Morose  – Nice to see that #SleepyHollow held up well in Week 3, with a 3.0/8 in Adults 18-49 (vs last week’s 3.1/8)!  #ScarySandman

.

Joe Adalian – SLEEPY HOLLOW hanging in there, notches 3.0 A18-49. Renewal assured.
.
.
Deadline | TV ‏ – Logging an even stronger hold than The Blacklist was Fox’s newbie Sleepy Hollow (3.0/8), down just a tenth (3%) from last week.

Sleepy Hollow Rolls Heads with Ratings!

Sleepy-Hollow-Title

Another great night blended with suspense, hilarity and down right creepiness!  So, let’s find out who was watchin’!  SH had some serious competition last night, but regardless it held its headless high beating CBS sitcoms with a 3.1 A18-49. It’s down four tenths from last week’s 3.5, but that is norm for the second episode.  So, down a bit, yes, but still chopped some competition! See what Joe says below, and you will smile.

What do the experts say?

Anthony Crupi  “Sleepy Hollow week 2 pulls a 3.1, which translates to a 91% retention rate versus the premiere overnight. #renewal
.
.
Joe Adalian SLEEPY HOLLOW’s 11 percent decline from premiere qualifies as a great week-to-week hold. Per Fox, REVOLUTION declined 17% W2, ELEMENTARY 19%”

Fox’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Gets Big DVR boost beating out Under the Dome

sleepy

Wilmywood can celebrate some more!  We already knew that Sleepy Hollow killed it in the ratings, but after factoring in the DVR numbers, it went through the roof!  And even bettered Wilmywood’s other hit show, Under the Dome!

According to Deadline:

The September 16th debut episode jumped 43% in Live + 3 ratings, nabbing a 5.0 rating & 13.2 million viewers compared with the Live + Same Day numbers which were a 3.5 rating & 10.1 million viewers. That makes it the best debut for a Fox fall drama series since the launch of “24” (5.4/13) all the way back in November 2001.

That’s the largest L+3 audience movement of any new series debut last season and bests Under The Dome’s 3.2 million gain. With the other Big 3 set to unleash their new dramas next week, all we can say is “let the games begin.”

The jump of 1.5 ratings points is also the biggest new series L+3 jump this year – more than “Revolution” (1.4), “The Following” (1.1)  as well.

WHAT’S UP IN WILMYWOOD 07/22/2013

Dome Day has arrived and let me tell you it could not have come any sooner.  Last week’s episode left yelling at the TV, “Crikey! Big Jim, Angie!  Say something!!! ” Tonight we will find out whether Angie gets out of the underground shelter or not.  Check out what the cast said about tonight’s episode. This is the final week of shooting for Under the Dome.  I’m sad just thinking about it.  They shoot on the lot today, so stage 7 & 8 for these actors all day! Over the weekend, cast and producers joined the folks at the San Diego Comic Con and made a few awesome announcements!  First, during the Comic-Con panel, they let us know this season of Under the Dome would end in a cliffhanger!  Which reminds me to remind you, rumors are swirling that the crew will know this week if they will return to work for what is believed to be an inevitable season two. They also gave us the arrival date for season one on Blu-ray and DVD.  On November 5th you can own a piece of the dome!  Amazon is offering an Blu-ray exclusive limited edition in dome packaging that will additionally include its own set of exclusive bonus features on top of the ones in the standard Blu-ray release. Click here to pre-order Under the Dome: Season 1 on Blu-ray for $58.49 at Amazon.com, 10% off the $64.99 list price. Click here to pre-order Under the Dome: Season 1 Limited Collector’s Edition on Blu-ray for $79.99 at Amazon.com, 20% off the $99.99 list price.

Also at Comic Con was Sleepy Hollow!  Here’s a few highlights from the panel!   WILMINGTON CAN GET AN EARLY SCREENING!  BUT YOU GOTTA VOTE!  PLEASE put your vote in so we can get our own Sleepy Hollow Early Screening!  Demand it NOW! The time has finally come as Sleepy Hollow begins shooting this week!  And it is stand in time!  Casting is looking for full-time stand-ins for Orlando Jones and Nicole Beharie.  So if you look like these two lovely actors, have an open schedule and can handle being a night owl, submit now!  Find all the details here. Eastbound and Down will be water parking it!  It’s Jungle Rapids for these guys plus about 70 extras all day. That just about does it for me; I will have more Wilmywood updates for you tomorrow morning and every weekday morning at 7:30am & 8:30am LIVE on Sunny 104.5.  Got Scoop?  Email me: sheila@1045sunnyfm.com.  Or message me on Wilmywood’s FB .  Or just post your comments below!  Until then, that’s a wrap!

WHAT’S UP IN WILMYWOOD 07/16/2013 – Another star comes to Wilmywood, new ratings for UTD Pilot, Peter Jurasik and more.

Tuesday.  Man, Tuesdays officially make me crazy, now.  Thanks Under the Dome!  I always begin writing this blog at the buttcrack of dawn and then it never seems to be complete because Tuesdays are ratings day.  I sit here all antcy in my pantcy waiting for 11am EST to come!  Argh!  Well, such is life.  But we did get this in at six this morning.  Remember we had the pilot numbers at like 16.7 million.  Well they adjusted up!  AGAIN! Check out what CBS sent us this morning:

“UNDER THE DOME” PREMIERE BUILDS TO 17.76 MILLION VIEWERS WITH LIVE PLUS 7-DAY DVR PLAYBACK
Viewers +31%, Adults 25-54 +36% and Adults 18-49 +39%
With Live Plus 7-Day DVR Playback From Live Plus Same Day Averages.
The series premiere of UNDER THE DOME surged to 17.76 million Viewers with 7-day DVR playback, according to Nielsen live plus 7-day ratings for Monday, June 24 (10-11PM ET/PT).
Live + 7-day DVR playback for the premiere of UNDER THE DOME added:
> +4.23m viewers (17.76m from 13.53m, +31%)….
> +1.6 rating points in Adults 25-54 (6.1 from 4.5, +36%)….
> +1.3 rating points in Adults 18-49 (4.6 from 3.3, +39%)….
….from live plus same day results.

Another great episode last night the UTD folks we tweeting like mad.  I would like to especially point out that pig can now fly.  Yep, Alex Koch(Junior), who refuses to have a twitter account, is officially a half twit!  Jolene Purdy(Dodee) convinced him to LIVE tweet with her!  That woman has super powers!  I love her so much!!

UTD Script

Oh, and look what I got my hands on!  How would you like to own a piece of Under the Dome?  It could be your coming this September because we are gonna auction this beautiful autographed script during the Sunny 104.5 Caring for Kids at NHRMC Radiothon to benefit the new hospitality house.  More details to come!

WECT leaked the news yesterday.  Mary-Louise Parker will be our next star to head into Wilmywood  as Hallmark gets ready to roll for the TV movie, Christmas in Conway.  Production Begins August 5th.  We have some great local crew working on this one, including Emmy Young who was named as the Extras Casting Director last week.  Oh and FYI, Mary-Louise Parker will be on Kelly & Michael this morning.

peter jurasikOut on DVD today is 42.  You can see our very own amazing, Peter Jurasik.  I asked Peter when the movie was released what it was like to play such a controversial role, a racist in the movie 42.

“There is nothing more difficult in the process of playing a racist than playing anything else that you might have to play but have not experienced firsthand… like playing a homeless person or a less ( or more ) educated person than you — or in more extreme examples, playing a murderer, a pedophile, a abuser ( of drugs, alcohol, women ) or a terrorist. — I have tried to control people in my life, I have humiliated or belittled people in my life ( not proud of it, but true ). The actor takes the truth of his own experiences that intersect or cross with the experiences of the role as written… and if you can ‘ mix ‘ the two careful, you come up with a third entity called the character. A character who looks and sounds like you — whose emotions are fueled by your own experiences but speaks and acts like the person the author created when it was written. — Voila, I’m a racist.”

Very well said, Peter. You are a blessing to everyone in this community!

Looks like Eastbound and Down is taking over the fun parts of Oleander Drive.  The cast and crew heads over to Jellybeans today.  There will be over 100 extras in the skating rink.  With seven of the cast members, it looks to be a really fun day.

The Conjuring was shot here last year and it has finally arrived!  The reviews have been coming in for weeks now and the consensus is: THIS MOVIE IS GREAT AND WILL SCARE THE CRAP OUT OF YOU!  Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.  It’s based on the true story, so that always helps the fear factor.  I can’t wait!  It opens this Friday!  A lot of local actors landed some roles in this flick, so it gives us even more of a reason to see it.

WHAT’S UP IN WILMYWOOD 07/08/2013 – It’s Dome Day once again!

It’s Dome Day once again, so either watch Under the Dome at 10pm tonight or set your DVRs!  And you know where to go for the viewing party.  Hell’s Kitchen is the place to be.  Some of the stars show up for the weekly event, you never know who is going to be there.  If you are a fan of John Elvis who plays the character Ben, he’s a regular, so stop on by and say hello!  Tonight is his big scene showing off his mad skating skills.  What were the stars up to this weekend? Rachelle LeFevre spent some time in Charleston over the weekend at the Market Pavilion Hotel and was especially entranced with their down home,  southern food.   Looks like Mackenzie Lintz went back to her homestate of MidnightRamblersGeorgia to hang with some of her besties.  Jolene Purdy, Nicholas Strong  and Alex Koch aka the Midnight Ramblers as they call themselves, rambled all over Wilmington.  Nicholas said they were at the beach, the pool, they barbequed, even had a dinner party set to Sinatra.  Here’s a pic they tweeted over the weekend.

Only a few days left to win a map of Chester’s Mill & a signed copy of #UnderTheDome by Stephen King! Enter now!

Ty Pennington of Extreme Makeover fame, was hanging with some local friends at Topsail Beach over the weekend.  Did you see him?  I wonder if he is as ADD in real life as he is on the show.  No matter, he is sooo adorable!

Eastbound and Down is  shooting on Tabor Lane just off N Kerr Ave today.  There’s a casting call for Wednesday’s shoot from NCasting: EASTBOUND & DOWN: “This will work Wednesday.  I need 5 Mexican males ages 18 and up. Please spread the word!!! Have them email me a CURRENT photograph with the following information – NAME, AGE, HEIGHT/WEIGHT,
PHONE # ebdextras@gmail.com

Excitement is filling the air as we gear up for Sleepy Hollow.  They begin production in two weeks. As far as casting goes for the Fox show, I do know they will be looking for Revolutionary War re-actors really soon. I will keep you posted or you can check for more details at Revo Casting Calls on Facebook.”
