EUE/Screen Gems Studio Tours Will Begin Hosting Food Trucks On Saturdays

Wilmington, NC (June 03, 2015) EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington, NC announced today that popular local food trucks will sell food on the lot for Saturday studio tours during June and July.

The food trucks collaborating with EUE/Screen Gems Studio tours are:

June 6: Mamma Rocks Desserts Truck – Serves cupcakes and confections

June 13: Mamma Rocks Desserts Truck

June 20: Catch – Tacos, seafood sliders made with local ingredients

June 27: Kona Ice – Shaved ice and ice cream

July 4: Mamma Rocks

July 11: Kona Ice

July 18: Kona Ice

July 25: Catch

Trey Mosteller, EUE/Screen Gems Tour Manager says EUE/Screen Gems has worked to organize the trucks in response to visitor requests. “Many guests have asked about food options when they come to the studio. Inviting the food trucks to join us is a great way to promote local small businesses—the backbone of our film industry—and offer a true taste of Wilmington at the same time,” Mosteller says.

The studio tours offer an insider’s look at the largest studio complex east of California and three decades of film and television history. Visitors walk the 10-stage lot, tour a set from the CBS series “Under The Dome,” and depending on shooting schedules, see a house used in ABC’s “Secrets and Lies.”

Tours are on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am, 12 noon and 2 pm weather permitting throughout the summer. Food trucks will be available only on Saturdays. Guests are encouraged to call the tour hotline before visiting, (910) 343-3433. As a working studio complex, tours are occasionally delayed.

Cost: $12 for adults

$10 for students and military personnel with an ID

EUE/Screen Gems getting Mini-Facelift this Weekend.

Okay, after a couple of concerned texts and a panicked phone call, I feel I need to share this tidbit.  If you have noticed (pictured above) EUE/Screen Gems will be doing some painting above the wardrobe building, which is where you normally see those big bold letters at the entrance:  EUE/SCREEN GEMS STUDIOS.

They are not selling the place, they are not closing!  For cryin’ out loud!  Please squash the rumors. Now with that being said, due to the little mini-facelift, tours will NOT be rolling this weekend.  Feel better? Good!

EUE/Screen Gems is the heart of Wilmington film and it is here to stay!

Webb_FamilyOur friend and comedian Sean Webb passed away yesterday morning from cancer. Sean was a family man who brought joy to others through his life and through comedy.  He was a huge part of Nutt St Comedy and he will be missed.  There is an online fundraiser which was originally set up for all the medical bills for his treatment, now however, the family could really use your help. The fundraising site say, “Sean’s main focus throughout was to make sure his wife Christy and boys Nick and Christian, were taken care of. We would like to continue to fulfill that in memory of a great person.”  DONATE NOW
