“What Sleepy Hollow lacked in zingers it made up for in breath-baiting tension.” ~Rose Maura Lorre, Vulture.com
Man, if Sleepy Hollow doesn’t win an Emmy for VSX, it will be a sad day! The black minions blew me away! Let’s see who else was glued to the TV last night. The overnight numbers are in. Last week, The Midnight Ride took 7 million viewers on a journey garnering a 2.6 (adjusted up a 1/10 from 2.5) rating. The Necromancer (Episode 8) managed to maintain its 7 million viewers A18-49 with a 2.5 average. As always, we still need to see if SH will adjust up or down later in the day. All in all, I would give Ichabod a fist bump for the ratings. I will be updating this blog as more details come in.

We can chalk this up as rumor but we will find out soon enough because they are reported to open up offices in January 2014. READ ENTIRE STORY NOW

Finally what felt like a century’s wait, we had ourselves a fresh episode. Did the Sin Eater gobble up the competition last night? The overnight numbers are in giving Sleepy Hollow a 2.5/6 rating with 7.08M viewers. A season low, but I think we expected as much with such a long hiatus. Looks like Mike & Molly and The Voice took away Hollow’s #1 spot, but hey there is always next week! The last episode earned a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating, down a tenth from the previous week’s 2.8 adults 18-49 rating. I will be updating this most as details pour in.
Joe Adalian “Vs. the premiere of VOICE live eps,SLEEPY HOLLOW scored 6.9M viewers and a prelim 2.5 A18-49. As of now, this is a series low for the show.”
Want Sleepy Hollow now? Here’s the first 8 minutes of tomorrow night’s episode – an exclusive extended scene from “The Sin Eater!!”
When Ichabod Crane goes missing, his wife, Katrina, appears to Lt. Abbie Mills in a vision warning her that the Headless Horseman will return to Sleepy Hollow by nightfall. A frantic Abbie seeks help from the mysterious Henry Parrish (guest star John Noble), who holds vital clues about how Crane can vanquish his dangerous blood tie to Headless. Meanwhile, an encounter from Crane’s past weighs heavily on him, and details about his first encounter with Katrina are revealed in the all-new “The Sin Eater” episode of SLEEPY HOLLOW airing Monday, Nov. 4 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (SLH-106) (TV-14 L, V)

With numbers like that you can understand why the Sleepy Hollow panel was the must attend event at the New York Comic Con yesterday. Panels ran throughout the con, but no one had a panel or an autograph line quite like Sleepy Hollow. Co-Creator of the show, Phillip Iscove captured the moment. Wow! That line is insane! Thanks for the pic Phillip! Liz P. who runs the @TomMisonFans twitter account, was in attendance for none other than Sleepy Hollow.
I asked Liz to share her experience at this year’s con. “The highlights for me were mostly about Tom (of course). The question was asked about how to play the comedic moments that he does so well — he said that he has to repress “the flouncing tart” in him that wants to ham it up. It got a great laugh, especially when someone added that everyone in the audience was probably now googling “flouncing tart.”
@TomMisonFans @WilmywoodNC It was a HUGE room. Person Of Interest didn’t fill it, and The Following barely did, but mostly cuz everyone was there for SH!

“Also I loved when people asked (a couple of times, I think), about “Ichabbie,” and he kept reminding them that he had a wife who was a witch, who probably wouldn’t appreciate him taking up with another woman. They showed a rough cut of some new scenes, which were pretty amazing — lovely moments between Ichabod and Abbie, then some pretty crazy stuff happens. The footage will be part of the November 4th episode, I think, which airs after a break for the World Series. Not sure how I’m going to make it through that break, to be honest!!”
Yes, Liz, I think we can all relate! Within that exclusive footage shown at NYCC was the two main women in Ichabod’s life will have to team up to try and save him from a new evil after he gets abducted. We learn that Katrina can also visit Abbie. Katrina warns Abbie that the Headless Horseman is returning to Sleepy Hollow that night and only Ichabod can stop him.
So what was one of Liz’s favorite moments during Comin Con? “Singing happy birthday to Katia,” she said. “I wish we had heard a little more from Orlando, but we ran out of time. He did get to talk a little about his really savvy use of social media – but would have loved to hear more about it and about his Capt. Irving.”
My other correspondent was Bryce Finchem. He said more info was revealed about John Noble (Fringe). We now know according to Alex Kurtzman & Len Wiseman, he will be playing a Sin-eater, a person/entity which will be crucial to Ichabod’s existence.
Couldn’t make it to the con? No worries check out the panel discussion NOW!
Looking four episodes ahead, writer Jose Molina mentioned that they are working on Episode 9 and he shared a little tease about what’s to come. “If today’s writing session is any indicator, episode 1.09 is gonna be a 5-hankie event!” Oh boy!
With all that being said, let’s focus on tonight’s episode (9pm EST, FOX) written by Melissa Blake. Here’s a sneak peek:
