THE WILMYWOOD DAILY – 10/14/2013 Sleepy Hollow awakens the fans at NYCC

First HUGE numbers are in for Sleepy Hollow.  During the premiere week  of the 2013-2014 season (September 23-29), Sleepy Hollow topped the % adults 18-49 ratings increase from DVR viewing, adding 70% to its Live+Same Day adults 18-49 ratings.  Holy crap!  Amazing!  READ ALL ABOUT IT NOW!

With numbers like that you can understand why the Sleepy Hollow panel was the must attend event at the New York Comic Con yesterday. Panels ran throughout the con, but no one had a panel or an autograph line quite like Sleepy Hollow.  Co-Creator of the show, Phillip Iscove captured the moment. Wow!  That line is insane!  Thanks for the pic Phillip! Liz P. who runs the @TomMisonFans twitter account, was in attendance for none other than Sleepy Hollow.

I asked Liz to share her experience at this year’s con. “The highlights for me were mostly about Tom (of course).  The question was asked about how to play the comedic moments that he does so well — he said that he has to repress “the flouncing tart” in him that wants to ham it up.  It got a great laugh, especially when someone added that everyone in the audience was probably now googling “flouncing tart.”

@TomMisonFans @WilmywoodNC It was a HUGE room. Person Of Interest didn’t fill it, and The Following barely did, but mostly cuz everyone was there for SH!

“Also I loved when people asked (a couple of times, I think), about “Ichabbie,” and he kept reminding them that he had a wife who was a witch, who probably wouldn’t appreciate him taking up with another woman.  They showed a rough cut of some new scenes, which were pretty amazing — lovely moments between Ichabod and Abbie, then some pretty crazy stuff happens.  The footage will be part of the November 4th episode, I think, which airs after a break for the World Series.  Not sure how I’m going to make it through that break, to be honest!!”

Yes, Liz, I think we can all relate!  Within that exclusive footage shown at NYCC was the two main women in Ichabod’s life will have to team up to try and save him from a new evil after he gets abducted. We learn that Katrina can also visit Abbie.  Katrina warns Abbie that the Headless Horseman is returning to Sleepy Hollow that night and only Ichabod can stop him.

So what was one of Liz’s favorite moments during Comin Con?  “Singing happy birthday to Katia,” she said.  “I wish we had heard a little more from Orlando, but we ran out of time.  He did get to talk a little about his really savvy use of social media – but would have loved to hear more about it and about his Capt. Irving.”

My other correspondent was Bryce Finchem.  He said more info was revealed about John Noble (Fringe).  We now know according to Alex Kurtzman & Len Wiseman, he will be playing a Sin-eater, a person/entity which will be crucial to Ichabod’s existence.

Couldn’t make it to the con?  No worries check out the panel discussion NOW!

Looking four episodes ahead, writer Jose Molina mentioned that they are working on Episode 9 and he shared a little tease about what’s to come. “If today’s writing session is any indicator, episode 1.09 is gonna be a 5-hankie event!”  Oh boy!

With all that being said, let’s focus on tonight’s episode (9pm EST, FOX) written by Melissa Blake. Here’s a sneak peek:

THE WILMYWOOD DAILY – 10/11/2013 Sleepy Hollow, Under the Dome and More

The trailer for the Wilmywood shot A Short History of Decay is up. The story is based on the director Michael Maren’s mother who had a major battle with Alzheimer’s. The movie which stars Linda Lavin premiere’s this weekend at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

Sleepy-Hollow-TitleCongrats to Sleepy Hollow as it premiered in the UK this week, giving Universal TV its best ratings since 2005! The weather has really put a damper in a consistent shoot schedule for the Sleepyheads. They are shooting on the back lot and then they head to Adam’s Antiques on Castle St. where our two hero’s walk into the store and investigate a break in. Yeah, I said head 🙂 The Brunswick county shoot has been pushed until next week.

As if they weren’t busy enough, they also HEAD to the New York Comic Con. Their panel is is Sunday afternoon. An autograph session will follow the Q&A.

REMINDER: Also this Sunday is The Walking Dead Viewing Party and Costume Contest at Theatre Now

The confusion has ended in regards to Something’s in the Dark, a horror film that is is shooting here in Wilmywood Tuesday and are filming in Raleigh tonight. I have no idea who they are and I cannot give you any details, except they exist?? I think. Extras Casting:  https://www.facebook.com/atlanticcastingcompany

alexcolinAlexander Koch joined Colin Ford at People Magazine’s Ones To Watch Party held at Hinoki & The Bird Wednesday night in Los Angeles. Alex recently spoke with Elle Magazine about Season 2 of Under the Dome and what we should expect.

“It’s going to be compelling and very different. We’re going to see the world as it’s changed, what this new empire that Jim’s created has become.” ~Alexander Koch

Under the Dome will reopen offices in January and begin principal photog in February.

SLEEPY HOLLOW: The Lesser Key of Soloman brought us a great number of viewers!

The Lesser Key of Soloman brought us a great number of viewers! Personally, it had me at Yolanda!  The overnight numbers are in and it looks as though Sleepy Hollow was #1 in it’s time slot again, keeping 7.8 million viewers on the edge of their seats and falling off of it from laughter.  This show can make you do both within a 2 minute period!   Although there was a slight dip, the numbers are still strong.  Adjustments will come later today, and I am betting they will adjust up!  If you look across the board, it seems as though a majority of the shows actually dipped in their numbers last night.  What was America doing besides watching TV?  Nevermind, don’t answer that, I don’t wanna know!

What do the experts say?

Gaude Paez Morose  -With 7.8 million viewers, #SleepyHollow held up well– +97% retention –versus last week’s audience (8.0 million)! #TheDestructionOfTheTea

.

Joe Adalian –   SLEEPY HOLLOW dips 10% to a 2.7 A18-49 and 7.8M viewers
.
.
TVbytheNumbers.com ‏ – On FOX, Bones scored a 2.0, down two tenths from last week’s 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. Sleepy Hollow garnered a 2.7, down three tenths from last week’s 3.0 adults 18-49

THE WILMYWOOD DAILY 10/07/2013 – Cast of the Squeeze, Sleepy Hollow, and More.

chrismcdonaldHappy Monday!  More info is coming out about The Squeeze. Let’s start with the rumored cast!  Some sources have told me Michael Nouri (Flashdance / The Proposal / The Terminal) is starring as well as Christopher McDonald (Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore) in this golf flick.  Now, I cannot confirm the cast yet, but I can confirm the reason for Anne Archer‘s visit to Wilmywood.  Not only is she here to support her husband of 35 years, writer/director/producer Terry Jastow, but she is also one of the producers as well.

Get ready for another sleepless night as Sleepy Hollow is on tonight!  9pm on FOX! In tonight’s episode, Ichabod helps Abbie search for her sister that has escaped from the psychiatric hospital.   I asked Chitra Elizabeth Sampath, one of the writers/story editors on Sleepy Hollow, what we can expect in tonight’s episode and Chitra said, “We’re gonna meet some pretty evil dudes who may or may not return.” Baaahahahaa!!!  Gee, thanks girl! Maybe we should just take a look at this sneak peek:

Weather permitting, the Sleepyheads will be shooting at Bellevue Cemetery, as well as on Princess Place Dr. adjacent to cemetery.  It will be a fun scene today as a chase ensues between good ‘ole Headless and one of the other characters on horseback.

tommisonOn a side note, congrats to Tom Mison (Ichabod Crane) who just won Best Supporting Actor in the British Romantic Comedy, Dead Cat, at the Southhampton International Film Festival.  (Thanks to @TomMisonFans for that info.)  Here’s the trailer:

werethemillersAlthough We’re The Millers is coming out on DVD/Blu-Ray November 19th, it is still making bank at the box office.  After this weekend, it is grossed 144.9M in the US, and almost 240M worldwide.

That just about does it for me; I will have more Wilmywood updates for you tomorrow morning (unless something breaks) and every weekday morning at 7:30am & 8:30am LIVE on Sunny 104.5.  Got Scoop?  Email me: sheila@1045sunnyfm.com.  Or message me on Wilmywood’s FB .  Or just post your comments below!  Until then, that’s a wrap!!

SLEEPY HOLLOW PICKED UP FOR SEASON 2!!!!!!!!!!!

Sleepy-Hollow-Title

HUGE CONGRATS to the amazing and extremely hard working cast and NC film crew for making the magic!!  It’s what we’ve been waiting to hear!  Of course it was inevitable, but it is always nice when the OFFICIAL word comes out!  And the best part is we didn’t even have to wait for a back 9 order.  It was just BAM!  Season 2!  I like this 13 episode idea! No pressure for a full 22!  And with all the building on the back lot in addition to the sets on stage 5 & 10 at Screen Gems, odds are in favor of Wilmywood to continue to be the home of Sleepy Hollow!

FROM DEADLINE.COM:

Fox’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Renewed For Second Season

And the first pickup for a new series this fall goes to — Fox’s drama Sleepy Hollow. But instead of the standard back 9 order, the adventure series is getting a 13-episode second season renewal. Sleepy Hollow is part of Fox’s strategy for shorter, largely uninterrupted, cable-style runs. It was designed to air its 13-episode first season in the fall before another drama series ordered under the same template, The Following, returns in the Monday 9 PM hour, likely in January. Given the success of Sleepy Hollow, it probably was tempting to try and extend its freshman season to the standard 22 episodes, but Fox brass stuck with their original plan.

Sleepy Hollow Rolls Heads with Ratings!

Sleepy-Hollow-Title

Another great night blended with suspense, hilarity and down right creepiness!  So, let’s find out who was watchin’!  SH had some serious competition last night, but regardless it held its headless high beating CBS sitcoms with a 3.1 A18-49. It’s down four tenths from last week’s 3.5, but that is norm for the second episode.  So, down a bit, yes, but still chopped some competition! See what Joe says below, and you will smile.

What do the experts say?

Anthony Crupi  “Sleepy Hollow week 2 pulls a 3.1, which translates to a 91% retention rate versus the premiere overnight. #renewal
.
.
Joe Adalian SLEEPY HOLLOW’s 11 percent decline from premiere qualifies as a great week-to-week hold. Per Fox, REVOLUTION declined 17% W2, ELEMENTARY 19%”

Fox’s ‘Sleepy Hollow’ Gets Big DVR boost beating out Under the Dome

sleepy

Wilmywood can celebrate some more!  We already knew that Sleepy Hollow killed it in the ratings, but after factoring in the DVR numbers, it went through the roof!  And even bettered Wilmywood’s other hit show, Under the Dome!

According to Deadline:

The September 16th debut episode jumped 43% in Live + 3 ratings, nabbing a 5.0 rating & 13.2 million viewers compared with the Live + Same Day numbers which were a 3.5 rating & 10.1 million viewers. That makes it the best debut for a Fox fall drama series since the launch of “24” (5.4/13) all the way back in November 2001.

That’s the largest L+3 audience movement of any new series debut last season and bests Under The Dome’s 3.2 million gain. With the other Big 3 set to unleash their new dramas next week, all we can say is “let the games begin.”

The jump of 1.5 ratings points is also the biggest new series L+3 jump this year – more than “Revolution” (1.4), “The Following” (1.1)  as well.
