SLEEPY HOLLOW: What are the cast members doing in between seasons?

Here is a fun little tidbit.  A feature film that will be shooting the spring in South Carolina titled Things You Missed While You Were Gone will be starring Sleepy Hollow‘s Lyndie Greenwood,  Shane West (A Walk to Remember) Jena Malone and others.  It’s the story of a young woman named June. Her lover has just passed away and in her grief she takes his 8mm camera and decides to travel across the country to California to make a movie for him. This is coming from Radar Pictures and will be directed by Nina Ljeti.

DEADLINE REPORTS Orlando Jones and his Drive-By Entertainment partner Noam Dromi have optioned the rights to cult deprogrammer Ted Patrick’s story. Jones and Dromi will write the screenplay as a starring vehicle for Jones. They will produce the feature with docu filmmaker Tracy Funches. Prominent in the 1970s, Patrick was known as the “father of deprogramming” and seen as savior to many parents who had seemingly lost their children to cults.  Since he has no plans to uproot his family, I suppose he will be writing that screenplay from his downtown home here in Wilmywood.  READ MORE NOW

John Noble plays the lead in this upcoming feature Holt in which in 1967, the Cold War. In the days before his mysterious disappearance, Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt struggles to quell RED hysteria by wrestling power from an overzealous spy-master within his own government. This project is curretnly in pre-production. This thriller is due out in October.

INDIEWIRE reports that around the same time she was “digging into the role of Katrina Crane, powerful witch and wife to Ichabod (Tom Mison), she got the opportunity to play a supporting role in Terrence Malick’s Knight of Cups, which premieres at the Berlin Film Festival this weekend.  Winter wasn’t sure if she had made the final cut of “Knight of Cups,” but she still was able to tell Indiewire about what it was like to improvise with Christian Bale, the fun of working with Malick, what’s been frustrating about playing a damsel in distress on Sleepy Hollow (as opposed to a character in her own right) and whether she knows for sure if she’ll be back for a potential Season 3.” So, off to Berlin perhaps?   READ MORE NOW

THE WILMYWOOD DAILY – 08/20/2014 – Orlando Jones does Ice Bucket Challenge with a twist, Locations, Win a trip to LA

Our Domie, Stephen King is taking on the Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS.

The Sleepy Hollow gang is also ready to freeze for the great cause.  Neil Jackson, Lyndie Greenwood and John Noble got in on the action.

Orlando Jones has accepted the challenge as well, but with a twist. In the wake of the disruption, sadness and violence breaking out in Ferguson, MO over the death of the unarmed teen, Michael Brown, Orlando blends the two in his own way. Good job Mr. Jones.

Sleepy Hollow is back downtown creeping through the Nutt St. alleyway.

Secrets & Lies is shooting on Chestnut St.

How did Under the Dome do in the ratings Monday night? It stayed flat with a 1.5 (A18-49) and they gathered 7.3M viewers. Last week, UTD has 6.9M viewers, so up in that regard.  Is it enough for 3rd season pickup? Yes. They were #1 in viewers for the night and they have gained viewers for four straight weeks.

FILM INCENTIVES UPDATE:  This is gonna sound strange, well, hell these past 4 months have been beyond strange, but as long as HB1224 fails, film as we know it, is not dead.  Even if they adjourn sine die, our legislators can get called backed in and the dialogue continues and the film conversation can begin once again.  I know what you’re thinking, we are losing productions everyday this crap goes on.  True.  It drives me crazy, too.  But looking into the future, this is the best we got at the moment. Yesterday, the House didn’t pass 1224, but it could come back to the table today.

The General Assembly Schedule at the present moment is:

  • Rules Committee: 10am
  • House: 11am
  • Senate: 4pm

I know it’s a long exhausting fight, trust me! LOL.  But it is not over.

SLEEPY HOLLOW RATINGS: Did The Midnight Ride win the race?

“Now THAT is the #SleepyHollow episode I have been waiting for!” ~Den of Geek

Took the words right out of my mouth!  What a midnight ride indeed, best episode to date!  But let’s see who was watching.  The overnight numbers are in.  Last week, The Sin Eater gave Sleepy Hollow a 2.5/6 rating with 7.08M viewers.  A  season low, but we expected that with the VERY LONG baseball hiatus.  This week Episode 7, The Midnight Ride took  7 million viewers on a journey maintaining last week’s audience garnering a 2.5 rating.  This episode managed to put Sleepy Hollow back to #1 in its time slot with A18-49.  Plus, this is an episode that has serious buzz, so I am thinking major DVR and +3 LIVE numbers will be beautiful! We still need to see if SH will adjust up or down later in the day. I will be updating this blog as more details come in.

“The Midnight Ride was great fun, simultaneously batshit crazy and somehow coherent, with the usual mishmash of historical fan fiction, gruesome horror, and witty repartee mixed into a cocktail that should be overpowering and trite, and yet isn’t” ~ Zack Handlen, A.V. Club

What do the experts say?

Gaude Paez Morose “Choptastic!! #SleepyHollow held steady with last week’s 2.5 rtg and 7 mil viewers!”
Joe Adalian ‏“SLEEPY HOLLOW steady at a 2.5 A18-49. In a related note/editorial comment, last night’s episode was pretty much perfect.”

SLEEPY HOLLOW RATINGS: Did the Sin Eater gobble up the competition?

Finally what felt like a century’s wait, we had ourselves a fresh episode.  Did the Sin Eater gobble up the competition last night? The overnight numbers are in giving Sleepy Hollow a 2.5/6 rating with 7.08M viewers.  A  season low, but I think we expected as much with such a long hiatus. Looks like Mike & Molly and The Voice took away Hollow’s #1 spot, but hey there is always next week! The last episode earned a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating, down a tenth from the previous week’s 2.8 adults 18-49 rating.  I will be updating this most as details pour in.

What do the experts say?

Gaude Paez Morose “Thanks, #SleepyHollow fans, for a solid return last night! With a 2.5/6 rating it dipped only slightly- not bad after 2 wks off! #basketface
Joe Adalian ‏“Vs. the premiere of VOICE live eps,SLEEPY HOLLOW scored 6.9M viewers and a prelim 2.5 A18-49. As of now, this is a series low for the show.”
Cancellation Bear ‏ “BONES, SLEEPY HOLLOW ratings down on return from baseball hiatus, academic interest only, no dining for the bear”
