tammy_wilmywoodHappy Monday to you!  Looks like everyone is out of town today.  Tammy will be back at The Grille on Main St. in Shallotte.  We will see Melissa McCarthy, Susan Sarandon, Mark Duplass, Gary Cole and a nice surprise as our own. Michelle Li from WECT/WSFX was typecasted and will have a nice lil part in the flick as a news reporter.  There should be some fun action in this scene today!  They still have over 15 days of shooting left, so here is a casting reminder from Extras Casting: “If you have ALREADY SUBMITTED and have not heard from us AT ALL yet, please resubmit your info/photo to: tammyextras@gmail.com with the subject title, “RE-SUBMISSION” – Thank you.” Over the weekend, Mark Duplass went to the beach, then tore it up on the dance floor! Haha!  Awesome!

DJRuckusThe folks Under the Dome also had a good time this weekend in Wilmywood. Rachelle Lefevre went shopping on Castle street in the Antique District.  Natalie Martinez was hanging out near Johnny’s Mercer’s Pier in Wrightsville Beach on Saturday.  Check out what she had to say about being Under the Dome!  On Sunday, Natalie was a very happy lady indeed when (major cutie-pie) DJ Ruckus came in for a visit.  Dean Norris recommended this article from TV Blends.  The big premiere is just 3 Mondays away!  They are filming again in Currie, NC today.

As we get closer to the start of Eastbound and Down (June 10th-ish) there are star sightings all over the place, even Danny Doppelgangers!  A friend of mine got a shot of this guy at the pool in the Porter’s Neck area where they just happened to be scouting at nearby residential locations for Season 4!  When she approached the man, and mentioned the striking likeness, he laughed and said, “Yeah, I get that a lot.”  Hey, the ladies LOVE the mullet!  It could work for him!

The star of NBC’s Surface, shot here in Wilmywood a few years back,  Lake Bell got hitched Saturday to Scott Campbell in New Orleans.  The show only lasted one season, but I have to say, I really enjoyed them being here.

A casting call is out for a new reality show, Dream Date.

Have you yet to find the love of your life? Do you feel like you’ve never been out of your county let alone on a plane to somewhere? Would you like to find your “Dream Date”?

We are casting a network show designed to pair you with your soul mate. This is “The Bachelorette” on steroids!!

If you or someone you know is interested, age 21 – 32, please email your full name, age, height, weight, contact phone and two photos. (one close up and a full body.)  Castingdreamdate@gmail.com

And finally, tonight is our last glimpse of Wilmington as the season finale of Revolution airs tonight at 10pm on NBC.  So, the most important question is:  Where’s the party at??  REVOLUTION SEASON FINALE PARTY! Tonight at The Cellar, downtown. Food, special Militia drinks, and more! Get there by 9pm for the fun!

That just about does it for me; I will have more Wilmywood updates for you tomorrow morning and every weekday morning at 8:30am LIVE on Sunny 104.5.  Got Scoop?  Email me: sheila@1045sunnyfm.com.  Or message me on Wilmywood’s FB .  Or just post your comments below!  Until then, that’s a wrap!

NBC Renews 5 Dramas including Revolution

Christmas comes early folks~!  We got ourselves a season two!  And if all goes according to what my sources tell me, it will come back to Wilmington.  I sure hope they are right!  I asked cast member Tim Guinee his thoughts and he said, “Over the moon about it.  I’m really grateful that the hardest working cast and crew in the business is getting another shot.  Yay ILM!”

Read the entire article from The Hollywood Reporter – “From J.J. Abrams‘ Bad Robot and Warner Bros. TV, Revolution ranks as NBC’s top scripted drama across all of primetime — averaging more than 6 million viewers in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic.”

The story continues as they link part of Revolution’s success to having The Voice as a lead-in on Monday nights this season.  Regardless of coming back from a mid-season break slightly down in the numbers, they say it is still very much a success for the 2012-13 TV season.

Thank you NBC and Bad Robot because we sure love having Revolution film here in Wilmington, NC!

If you would like to be a part of this project and you’ve got surfing skills, they would love to see you. NCasting is look for ages 16-25 for the upcoming TV movie.  SURFERS ONLY head to the Swirl Film offices this Wednesday from 12pm-5pm located at 411 Landmark Drive in Wilmington.  Other opportunities to be part of this production will open up shortly.  I will let you know when I get the details in.

Toni Collette(United States of Tara/The Sixth Sense) joins the star-studded cast of Tammy.  Marty Siu Casting is looking to hire her stand-in.  She is 5’8. If you are an experienced stand-in, similar in look, & local to the Wilmington area, please email asap at: Tammyextras@gmail.com with the subject title “Toni Stand-in”. Pay rate is $125.00/10.

There are still positions for stand-ins for Susan Sarandon(5’7)  and Kathy Bates(5’3) was well.

In other Tammy news (excellent news for folks right here in Wilmington), First off, Melissa McCarthy is already in town, so be on the lookout for this fabulous lady! Second, the big budget film was originally scheduled to shoot 7 wks in Wilmington and 1 wk in Charlotte.  Well, it looks like Wilmington has everything they need, so they will stay right here in the Wilmington and the surrounding areas for the entire 8 weeks!   We can thank the location scouts for that!  We love you!

We are going to have to wait another week when when it’s time for the season finale of Revolution.   According to Nellie Andreeva of DeadlineTV, NBC has opted not to “double pump Revolution following the pre-emption of last week’s episode for a news special on the Boston bombings. Since the series had been slated for an originals-only run, the second-season finale, previously scheduled for May 27, will now air a week later, on Monday, June 3rd.”

And lastly, a big congratulations to local boy, Raymond Scott Parks, who was cast in Vampire Diaries.  He plays the evil Silas!  You can catch him in Season 4, Episode 19 as he makes his entrance in the very last scene of the episode, “Pictures of You.”  And that is only the beginning, Scott will be in many more episodes to come!  Woo Hoo!  Great job Scott!  Here’s a clip from Celebified that talks about his role!

That just about does it for me; I will have more Wilmywood updates for you tomorrow morning and every morning (Monday-Friday) at 8:30am.  Got scoop?  Email me: sheila@1045sunnyfm.com.  Until then, that’s a wrap!

Yesterday we talked about ‘Stuck in Love’ starring Greg Kinnear and Kristen Bell, that was shot here last summer.  Well, we need to congratulate Kristen along with Dax Shepard.  It’s a beautiful healthy baby girl for the couple!  Congratulations!

Alright, let’s kick things off with some love for CBS…Under the Dome is off on this Good Friday but will be back in action on Monday shooting on Chestnut St. Monday  It’s a simple scene.  Characters chatting it up in front of a house.  They are also making up a rain day by shooting additional scenes at Wallace Park.

On a side note, Dean Norris, who plays James Rennie on the show, is totally smitten with NC, but hey we know that.  Aren’t all the actors that come here?  He tweeted yesterday, “Good morning North Carolina. Such a beautiful thang.  Fallin in love already”  Of course you are, Dean!

Now these guys are going to be hanging out at Wondercon in Anaheim!  And they have their own panel which includes the fabulous Brian K. Vaughan, Rachelle LeFevre & Dean Norris.

Also in attendance which will be a big to-do is the Revolution team!  And for the fourth straight year, Warner Brothers Television kicks off WonderCon with preview screenings of series that are total fan-favorites  This year Warner Brothers is shining the light on our show!  They will unveil the world premiere of a new, previously unaired episode of Revolution.  Many of the big wigs and cast members and are in attendance today.

But there is one cast member who won’t be there; she’s got more important things to do, like softball games and writing her own music.  7 year old, Morgan Hinkleman, who plays young Charlie on the NBC series shows off her mad songwriting skills.  Here’s a clip!

That girl has better lyrics than most songs on the radio right now!!  Way to go Morgan!

That just about does it for me, I will have more Wilmywood updates for you on Monday and every morning (Monday-Friday) at 8:30am.  Until then, that’s a wrap!
