THE WILMYWOOD DAILY – 03/20/2014 – Paley Afterglow, Under The Dome, Red Zone, and more

by Sheila Brothers and April Vickery

Gooood Morning!  Happy 1st day of Spring!  We made it!
MattLauerAnd to kick off such a glorious day let’s thank the Today Show who gave us a shoutout! My buddy Martin reported that Matt Lauer announced, “This morning’s sunrise comes from beautiful Wilmington, NC.” They do a couple of sunrise shots each morning from around the country , and they couldn’t have picked a better city!

Are we sleep deprived yet again? If you guessed, “Yes!” you are one smart cookie! We were up late streaming Paleyfest with the Sleepy Hollow cast! The Twitter world was a mad house last night as the SH cast and creation team took the stage at Paleyfest!

What a GREAT Q & A session!! What will happen in S2? Well, how about the return of beloved characters? (Dead doesn’t exactly equal gone on this show and we all know sometimes you can run, but you can’t hide.) How about new characters? According to the writing and creative team, “amazing new foot soldiers are coming and we need to be on the look out for a new dangerous creation: Headless faces.” Spooky!

rheartnetworkWar & redemption are themes of course! Will the Leftenant be left in purgatory? Can Ichabod give his son the ultimate “Time Out?” Who’s dead? Who’s coming back to life? Who’s going to be the law man now that Frank is locked up?

Watching the live stream of the cast last night was amazing! This show grabs you in and keeps you there in the midst of the supernatural, the scary and the outrageous because above it all, there is such a great dynamic of friendship and family in the storyline and very obviously in real life with these cast mates!

We can’t wait to have SH back in Wilmywood.  Production begins in May. Catch all the PaleyFest Q & A highlights NOW  and Follow @Wilmywood on Twitter to recap all the live tweets from the cast.

Dwight-YoakamDwight Yoakam is brigin’ his cowboy hat Under the Dome. And Entertainment weekly claims his character has been there the entire time!  WHAT?   Lyle Chumley is his name.  He runs the Chester’s Mill’s barbershop. And you know there will be some serious conflict as he was supposedly romantically involved with Big Jim’s dead wife!   READ MORE NOW AT EW

The Under the Dome folks head over the bridge to Winnabow today.

DavidPaymerGot some more great cast news for RED ZONE!  With over 200 film and TV titles under his belt, David Paymer had joined the cast. Lately, he’s been directing and producing HART OF DIXIE. We will play the role of “Banks.”  Welcome to WIlmywood, David!

David CarzellAlso, let’s welcome David Carzell back to Wilmywood! He is no stranger to the southeast as he has worked on ARMY WIVES in South Carolina and he was here in Wilmywood not long ago for Greg Kinnear’s STUCK IN LOVE.

Soo, it looks like Mason Dye will be too busy with Teen Wolf to play Mark on REDZONE.  So, in comes Cameron Deane Stewart.  Make that two Disney kids in the zone.  Crazy fast switch out.  So, I’m thinkin’ here’s what went down.  Mason said, “gotta keep it real with my outrageous fans in the teen drama world!  Peace Out.” Producers were frightened and were scrambling until Stefanie Scott chimes in…”So, I know this guy…” and BAM the new Mark was born!

::::Awkward pause as April gives Sheila a glaring glance::::

Sheila: What?  It could’ve happened! ::::sigh::::  Okay, fiiiinnneeee! April will wrap this up.  Take it sister!

cameron_deane_stewartCameron Deane Stewart is in! He’ll fit in on set with his Disney alum co-star Stefanie Scott. He was known as “Steven” on iCarly and “Jace” on Austin & Ally. Cameron Deane is best known for his role in the big screen in Pitch Perfect with Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, but he has quit a following with the Indie crowd for his role in “GEOGRAPHY CLUB”.

Put  May 14th on your calendar.  This is D-Day.  State lawmakers will battle it out and will decide the fate of the North Carolina’s film incentives program.  With that in mind, please take it upon yourselves to contact YOUR legislator via, letters, emails, phone.  It WILL make a difference.  With that being said, there is a great article in the Star News written by film professor, Dave MonahanREAD NOW
