Well, the minute the Impact study from Dr. Robert Handfield came out, we knew the backlash would come. And so it begins. A report came out yesterday requested by Rick Catlin, a New Hanover County Republican. According to WWAY, The General Assembly’s Fiscal Research Division (FRD) concludes that Dr. Robert Handfield’s report that the Film Product Credit’s net contribution to the state is positive “is based on a series of misunderstandings of the state’s tax laws, invalid or overstated assumptions, and errors in accounting.” Dr. Handfield however is standing by his study. Happy birthday to John Schneider! The NY born actor celebrates his 54th birthday today. John has been working in the film industry since the age of 8! He was in NC last year to play the role of “Paul Sharpe” in the 2014 film, Adrenaline.
Adrenaline was filmed in Wilmington, Jacksonville, Wallace, Rockingham and Supply and was directed by Joseph Quinn Simpkins, and produced by Del Baron. Adrenaline is a story of a drag racer’s life and recovery after a crash that almost kills him! John is best known for his work in the hit TV show Dukes of Hazard as “Bo Duke” and Smallville as “Jonathan Kent.” Happy Birthday from Wilmywood, John!
