THE WILMYWOOD DAILY 03/18/2014 – How and Why, Sleepy Hollow, Loomis Fargo, Red Zone, Kevin Sizemore, Jack Bender…

Morning my beautiful peeps! Hope your Tuesday is as delicious as a cream-filled crepe with blueberry sauce! Sorry, I’m hungry. Let’s get started!
shanley copyATTENTION Ashley High School students!  Major hotness alert for today! Shanley Caswell, Stefanie Scott, and David Castro will be roaming the halls today at your school!  No, they won’t be interfering with your classes, unfortunately.  But you might catch a glimpse this afternoon!

the-originalsTONIGHT! Our North Carolina girl, Alexa Yeames will be on CW’s The Originals tonight as well as our Wilmington boy Jesse C Boyd. Alexa is playing Abigail and Jesse is playing Cary, Klaus’ distant werewolf relative. Both have done 3 episodes so far.

ChrisannVergesCongrats to Chrisann Verges.  She is officially the Line Producer on FX’s How & Why. Chrisann (pictured on left) is known for End of Watch (2012), Cyrus (2010), Valkyrie (2008) and her most recent stint as producer for HBO’s Silicon Valley which airs April 6th.  Welcome to Wilmywood Chrisann!

RumorslogoAnd finally some Rumors from the Lot. Got more news about Loomis Fargo, but it might not be news you wanna hear.  Now I definitely cannot confirm this, but I heard that Loomis Fargo is headed to Winston-Salem.  That would make sense since it will star our NC boy Zach Galifianakis. We will keep you posted if we hear otherwise.

EP Jack BenderPRODUCER/DIRECTOR JACK BENDER JOINS US ON THE SUNNY MORNING SHOW TOMORROW!   Tune in @ 8:30am during “What’s Up in Wilmywood” on Sunny 104.5 . We’ll be chatting about all things Dome and of course about his art exhibit. The Wilma W. Daniels Gallery (200 Hanover St.) is  showcasing Under the Dome’s Jack Bender’s art NOW through the 29th of this month.  Three of his pieces will be from Season One  of Under the Dome.  Think Pink Stars!  We will also get a sneak peek at some of the beautiful pieces for the upcoming season. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday 12pm-5pm.  However, a special night is reserved for you to mingle with the artist that is Jack Bender this Saturday, March 22nd from 6pm-9pm.

Meanwhile, the Domies head out to Chestnut Street to film today.

kevin-sizemoreThis Friday, our favorite Domie, Kevin Sizemore will join us on The Sunny Morning Show.   He will be on ABC’s Resurrection this Sunday and guess who else is popping up?  Well, when asked, he said “I think it’s this Sunday.”  LOL.  Remember Reverend Lester Coggins of Under the Dome?  It’s Ned Bellamy.  So we got some Wilmywood love on the Georgia shot show, based on the book The Returned by our Bolton, North Carolina boy Jason Mott.

Now onto Sleepy Hollow.  My sources are telling me that  offices are slowly opening over the next week as they gear up for season two.  Yesterday, our adorable Sleepy Writers tweeted a pic from the writers room.  Did you spot our new  producer/writer Albert Kim in the back!  He’s pumped to be on the show.

And can we thank Orlando Jones and Tom Mison enough for spreading some North Carolina Love!?  Stars promoting tourism.

Hold on, let me get this straight.  A show films here, brings in a ton a revenue, buys from a lot of local small businesses, create 100s of jobs, and the stars promote tourism, encouraging fans to visit?  Wow, this industry is horrible!  Shut it down immediately! Okay, I’m done. ::::wipes sarcasm from lips:::::

filmjobsLOOKING FOR THOSE FILM=JOB STICKERS? Sunrise Broadcasting has a few.  Feel free to stop by and grab you one while they last at 25 N. Kerr Ave. (near the intersection of Market and Kerr across from the new Walgreens). Offices are open from 8:30am-5:30pm M-F.  Please one sticker per person please.  They will run out fast!  Thanks!

That just about does it for me; I will have more Wilmywood updates for you tomorrow morning (unless something breaks) and every weekday morning we do “What’s Up in Wilmywood” at 7:30am & 8:30am LIVE on Sunny 104.5.  Got Scoop?  Email me:  Or message me on Wilmywood’s FB  or on Twitter You can also just post your comments below!  Until then, that’s a wrap!!

THE WILMYWOOD DAILY – 01/15/2014 Michael Cera/John Hawkes Coming to Wilmywood, Sleepy Hollow, and more!

michael-cera-john-hawkesGoood Morning!  Hope you are having a pleasant one!  Man, what a week for breaking Wilmywood news!!  Yesterday afternoon, we got word that FX is bringing us the pilot “How and Why.”  The production will be set up at EUE/Screen Gems Studios by this Spring.  Look for Michael Cera and John Hawkes around town in the next few months!  A lot of Wilmywood folks met John Hawkes when he was on Eastbound & Down last year and are VERY excited to have him back!

Charlie-KaufmanThey have been signed to star in this comedy pilot which is coming from Charlie Kaufman.  The pilot will focus on Goodman Hesselman (John Hawkes)  who is the host of a children’s science show called “How and Why.”  But he is one of those book smart kinda guys with no people skills what so ever!  He is forced to start over, move to a small town, doing a completely different TV show and working for a much younger boss (Michael Cera).  As Deadline puts it, “things get awry when Hesselman encounters elements of the supernatural world during this new excursion.”  Yep, sounds like the autobiography of every news anchor I know in Wilmywood.  Perfect fit FX!

Meanwhile, FX also announced yesterday our North Carolina boy Zach Galifinakis is also going to star in a new FX comedy series co-written by Louis CK.  Congrats Zach!

RobertdowneyJrDid you know that our beloved Iron Man, Robert Downey, Jr. can sing?  He was on stage at a Sting concert and he sung the classic, “Driven To Tears”  Listen to THIS!! Yep, that is RDJ singing!  Wow!  You go boy!

Now on with a little Sleepy Hollow fun.  The ratings stayed flat, no adjustments with a 2.2 /6 among A18-49 w/ 6.4 million viewers.  When they factor in the DVR numbers, it will sky rocket per usual. Here’s what’s in store for us this Monday night!

Oh yeah!  Can’t wait!  Now, if you missed my interview with Tom Mison yesterday:  CHECK IT OUT NOW!

SPOILER ALERT: During those short 4 minutes, Tom did give us some intel about Nick Gonzalez‘s character, Detective Luke Morales.  He will be back for season two.
